For parents
What your child experiences in Carnival Chaos – and what they don’t.
What is it about?
Carnival Chaos is a colourful action game set at a carnival full of monsters. Players lead a hero with a group of small characters (the “squad”), collect crystals and coins, open chests and battle monsters and other squads – cartoon-style, with no blood. A match lasts two and a half minutes.
Matches are played online against other players; the game fills empty slots with computer opponents. You can find the age rating on the game’s App Store page.
Playing together
- No chat. Players can only communicate with ready-made pictures (emotes) such as “thumbs up” – there is no way to write messages.
- Player name: your child can choose a name (up to 16 characters). Other players, friends and the leaderboard see it. Please make sure your child doesn’t use their real name.
- No photos: profile pictures can only be characters from the game.
- Friends can only be added with a friend code that your child shares themselves.
- Keep the account code secret: the account code moves progress to another device. It works like a password and should never be shared.
If you notice an inappropriate player name, please email us at kontakt@carnival-chaos.com – with the name and the approximate time.
Money and purchases
- Carnival Chaos is free to play. All modes and maps are free, and new characters and rewards keep coming without buying anything.
- There are optional purchases through the App Store, for example tickets (for skins and some characters) or a season’s Gold Pass. Apple shows the price before every purchase.
- Before every purchase, the game shows a picture, the contents and the price; “Cancel” sits right next to it, just as prominent.
- Chests with random contents are never sold for money or tickets – they are only rewards. The odds can be viewed in the game.
Blocking or approving purchases
- On the iPhone or iPad, open Settings → Screen Time.
- Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and turn them on.
- Under iTunes & App Store Purchases → In-app Purchases, choose “Don’t Allow”.
With Apple’s Family Sharing you can also use “Ask to Buy”: the game then waits until you approve the purchase on your device.
Was a purchase a mistake? You can request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Playtime and reminders
- A match takes two and a half minutes – easy to plan around.
- Missed days don’t count against the daily rewards. Nobody has to play every day to keep what they’ve earned.
- Reminders only arrive if you or your child allow them: at most one a day, never after 8 pm and never with ads. Turn them off under Settings → Notifications → Carnival Chaos.
- Use Screen Time → App Limits to decide how long the game can be played each day.
Data
- No email address and no real name needed: the game automatically creates a game account with a random number.
- No ads, no advertising ID, no sharing with ad companies.
- To help us find bugs, the game sends usage and crash data to our own server – without names. You can turn this off under Profile → Settings → “Share usage data”.
- The game account can be deleted at any time: Profile → Account → “Delete account” (tap twice).
